How much does it cost?

Match Analysis provides a variety of packages at different pricing levels for amateur and professional clubs.

Typical amateur packages include touch-by-touch indexing of 6 to 10 matches during a season, Mambo Studio software, Match Disks, and Tango Online statistics and performance tracking and cost as little as $1,895.

Typical professional packages contain additional software licenses, complete seasonal analysis for all matches plus opponent scouting, Tango Online statistics and video, premiere rush service, and extensive support. Typical professional packages cost between $15,000 and $30,000 per year (smaller packages are also possible).

How do I submit a match?

No matter how good or bad your video, we can work with you. Whether we're working directly from broadcast video or amateur video straight from your DV camera, it's easy, and we'll tell you exactly what to do. For amateur video, we provide instructions for narrating your tape to help us identify players with 100% accuracy even with limited quality video.

How fast can I get my Match Disk back?

In as little as 24-48 hours. We know time is important to you, so we turn games around fast. Match Disks are sent overnight and results can be made available even sooner online. Slower turn-around times are also available at a discount for cost conscious clients.

Who else is using Mambo Studio?

Champions at all levels. Seven of the last eight major championships in the US (the last four MLS Cups and three of the last four US Open Cups) have gone to our clients. Two of the last three NCAA Men's College Cup Champions were our clients too. How does it fit in with Tango Online?

Tango Online statistics are included for all clients giving you unique statistical insight into your team. Tango Online video is included for all professional clients and is also available to amateur clients at an additional fee.

Why shouldn't I just buy a tagging system and do it myself?

You'll only truly understand the answer to this question after you've bought a traditional tagging system and compared with Mambo Studio. Traditional tagging systems solve the wrong problem. While they make it easy to retrieve video you've already tagged, tagging the video is the truly tedious and time consuming part (and the part they gloss over in the demo).

In the time it takes you to tag up 20-50 events in a match (a number which barely makes having the tags worthwhile), our data entry analysts can record every touch by every player on your team (over 1200 events per team per match).

Our analysts do this every day, and as a result, they're very good at it. In addition, you don't have to worry about upgrading your video capture hardware, tuning your compression algorithms, or keeping your system from dropping frames because your PC isn't performing as well as it did when you bought it. We do the hard stuff and let you focus on coaching.

Who charts the games? Are they experienced soccer people?

All of our analysts have a strong soccer background, but they don't need to be top tier coaches. Our data collection is completely objective. We never say what is "good" or "bad" or try to do your coaching for you. We simply record what occurred using consistent, accurate, objective standards. In short, we record who lost the ball, and you get to decide whose fault it was.

How long does it take for you to record all this info for a match?

Our proprietary system and our highly skilled analysts allow us to chart 90% of the data in a match in "faster than real time". (Our analysts are so good they watch most of the game in fast forward because live speed is "just too slow".)

How accurate is your data?

While we can't claim to be perfect, we hold accuracy as the highest priority. Unlike traditional stats, all you have to do is look at our video to know if we got it wrong. We have an extensive, multiple pass quality control system in which different analysts review every touch. The result is fantastic accuracy that generally exceeds traditional statistics bureaus.

Can I try the service out?

Yes. For a small fee, we can chart a demonstration match for your team and provide you with time-limited demonstration software. Please contact us for more information. We also would be happy to try to schedule a demonstration for you.

Is it available in other languages?

Mambo Studio is available in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic. We are preparing versions in additional languages all the time, so if you are interested in a specific language, please let us know.
