WPS Expansion Teams in Atlanta and Philadelphia Choose Match Analysis

EMERYVILLE, California - The second season of Women's Professional Soccer kicks off next week, and Match Analysis is along for the action in 2010 with the world's best women's soccer league. The league's two new teams, Atlanta Beat and Philadelphia Independence, have selected Match Analysis to once again deliver its latest state-of-the-art video and statistical analysis services to their coaches, players, and staff as they hope to make an immediate impact on the league as expansion sides.

"It's great to see even more teams in WPS rely on our product to give them the best insights and analytical data available in the marketplace," said Mark Brunkhart, President, Match Analysis. "It was terrific to see last year's WPS champions, Sky Blue FC, use our service and make adjustments over the course of the season during their amazing last-to-first run and the WPS Championship."

Match Analysis had multi-year deals with every team in WPS during the league's inaugural season in 2009 including regular season champions Los Angeles Sol and WPS Champions Sky Blue FC. Mambo Studio, Tango Online, and Tango ToGo became an integral part of team and league operations covering everything from referee analysis to discipline to web video and, of course, player and team scouting and analysis. In 2010, Match Analysis will work with all eight teams and the league office.

Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) is the world's premier soccer league for women with eight teams across the United States featuring the best players from around the world. In 2010, eight teams will each play 24-game schedules from April 10-September 12 including six original WPS teams - Boston Breakers, Chicago Red Stars, FC Gold Pride (Bay Area), Saint Louis Athletica, Sky Blue FC (NJ/NY) and Washington Freedom - and two expansion teams Atlanta Beat and Philadelphia Independence.
