Wake and USC Take National Championships

With its 2-1 victory Sunday over Ohio State, Wake Forest tooks the NCAA Men's College Cup and clinched a sweep of every major national soccer championship by Match Analysis members. The NCAA Women's College Cup was won the previous weekend by USC with a 2-0 victory over Florida State.
Jay Vidovich's team has become one of the undisputed top programs in the country and a prime scouting ground for top MLS talent. In recent years, Wake Forest has delivered Brian Carroll, Will Hesmer, James Riley, and Michael Parkhurst to the professional ranks. In 2007, Parkhurst was voted MLS Defender of the Year.
Wake Forest became a Match Analysis member in 2002.
USC head coach Ali Khosroshahin became the first coach in NCAA history to lead his team to the NCAA championship in his first season. He was also named the 2007 Soccer America Coach of the Year. USC has been a Match Analysis member since 2003.
Winning the 2007 National Championship was a first for both USC and Wake Forest. Match Analysis congratulates both programs, their coaches, and each and every player for their well earned success.
